It is increasingly clear that orangutan populations show extensive variation in behavioral ecology, morphology, life history, and genes. Indeed, on the strength of the latest genetic and morphological evidence, it has been proposed that orangutans actually constitute two species which diverged more than a million years ago - one on the island of Sumatra the other on Borneo, with the latter comprising three subspecies.

The book has funny parts and also parts that have you on the edge of your seat .I'm looking forward to the second book " The Rising " I like how he put the introduction to it at the end of Balance . Extraordinary talented artists like Earnest Hemingway, F, Scott Fitzgerald, Shelby Foote, Raymond Chandler, or Farley Mowat whose work strikes a chord and resonates with us lesser mortals who are trying to forge a living out of the practice of putting words to paper. This book provides the best overview of black comedy I've seen or heard of. It quickly grabs your attention and makes you want to read more. As I am interested in possibly growing moringa oleifera, the planting information was exciting but it was certainly more thoroughly addressed at online sites. With plain English and picture, I can understand the whole meanings.. Burrowes' books stored on my Kindle.. Luckily this a good book for active people ;-). At 220 pp, this is an easy read over a few days.
