In a foreword to Ladys Choice, writer John McPhee observes of Waxham that the admiration and affection I came to feel toward her is probably matched by no one Ive encountered in my professional life. After reading Ladys Choice, one can understand why. -- Smithsonian

Ladys Choice is a welcome addition to the growing number of books that focus on women in the West. The authors, Waxhams granddaughters, have created not only a valuable record of frontier life, but also a tribute to an intelligent and spirited lady who struggled with the choices available to her

When John McPhee discovered these journals he found that Ethel Waxham wrote "with such wit, insight, grace, irony, compassion, sarcasm, stylistic elegance, and embracing humor that I could not resist her." Waxham was a Wellesley graduate who decided in 1905 to accept a teaching job at a one-room school in Wyoming. Viewers of the the PBS series "The West," in which this material was used, will enjoy this intimate look at her five-year courtship by John Love and her attempts, as well as those of her college-educated friends, to pursue higher education and a career.

The format of the book is extremely well-organized and the writing friendly and clear. Thanks Jack for the tips!!! Definitely a great read. I like the character of Lucinda and the fact that she is given and uses her own powers. I heard a lot of people talking about this diet that I had never heard of before and though I would give it a go, everyone was being really positive about it. It was great story and I learned about Jewish people and African people and how everyone can learn something froim somebody, even from a little bird. As usual, Peterson does it again excellently!. Section 3.1 defines differential forms on Euclidean space, and section 3.2 introduces the exterior derivative. It could probably be updated, like a previous reviewer stated, but it is still very helpful when determining royalty rates. Maria continues to work at her job as an accountant but she lives for the ever diminishing times out of the month that her lover can live with her as a human. Grains, sugars, most d
